Incredible multi talented showmen and musicians will be bringing back all the classics, good times and good fashion. Known for their second to none entertainment and seasoned band, they are sure to get event the most relectant up and moving!
Recognized as one of Australia’s long time country songwriters and performers, will also be bringing the energy to the MFSR2016 stage, however also incorporates a strong element of storytelling with his ‘organic country rock’. As previously half of the Australian power Country duo McAlister Kemp, Drew has just released his 2nd debut record Black Sky through ABC Records.
Unashamed bluegrass sinners, The Pigs, have been spreading their supercharged hillbilly pop around Australia and the world for over 12 years. Their ability to turn hit pop songs into downright foot-stompers is legendary and their kooky original anthems like Macho Moisturiser and Hey Christina are sung from Berlin to Bendigo. Following three celebrated albums, international tours, Golden Guitar nominations and a trip to the dentist, 2015 saw the release of their iconic Aussie album, ‘The Pigs Home Brew’ and the crazy national tour that ensued, including major festivals, regional theatres and TV appearances – even singing “Ita” to Ita Buttrose (she loved their shiny teeth)!

ARIA nominated, and Golden Guitar winners, Mustered Courage will be bringing Alternative Bluegrass to the MFSR2016 stage. The Melbourne based quartet have been described as “the link between Bill Monroe and Mumford and sons” (Music Australia Guide) and are quickly rising to the top on the strength of their energetic live shows, incredible musicianship and accomplished albums. Their latest Album ‘White Lies & Melodies’ released in August through Lost Highway Records and features their leading single ‘Honesty’ went #1 on CMC.
Pete Denahy is a comedian and bluegrass musician hailing from Yackandandah in Victoria, Australia. He is a songwriter and singer whose show includes everything from serious ballads to ridiculous stories and songs with a twist. No stranger to the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival, Pete will be back at MFSR2016 with his new album ‘Singing Shoes’ which was released this September.
Gretta Ziller is a woman of modern country music. With vocals that range from sweet folk to gritty blues you could also describe her Alt. Country, or Roots or Americana, whatever the label Gretta is finding a multitude of welcoming arms for her blend of modern country music, and for a woman who grew up just over the hill at Tallangatta, its going to be a hell of a (almost) homecoming!

Born in Detroit, Amber Rae Slade’s introduction to music came fast and furious. Her new partnership (both musically and maritally with producer/musician Matt Fell) has exploded into an exciting and distinct musical force. Amber and Matt have created a rousing live performance far from the standard duo setup which is attracting much attention and resulted in supports with major artists such as Sara Storer and The Whitlams.

Fire faced singer/songwriter, Andrew Swift has hit the ground running in 2015 with performances at this years Tamworth Country Music Festival and the release of his new single ‘Sound The Alarm’. Recently a finalist in the Gympie Muster ‘New Talent’, Swift has just returned from a tour of the US. With a positive energy and a cataglogue of cracking songs, Swift is not to be missed at the MFSR2016.
