Please note entry fee is GST inclusive, includes camping for competitors and Festival entry.

Rule Book

The Challenge Rule Book will be available to download from the Festival website prior to the event. Hard copies will be sent to all confirmed competitors in their entry pack. A small number of hard copies will also be available from the Challenge Office during the Festival weekend. 

Festival Gate Entry – Challenge special offer

  • All competitors receive a Festival wristband included in the competitor entry fee
  • Children aged 12 years and under receive free entry to the Festival

We are again able to offer a maximum of 1 x discounted adult wristband and 2 x discounted kids (13-17y/o) wristbands to any competitor’s assistant or partner wishing to stay for the Festival. If you wish to take advantage of this, please specify the number of tickets required on the entry form. Payment will be requested once riders have been confirmed. Please note that this offer is only available to purchase now with the competitor entry form. You can also purchase other wristbands from the Festival website; www.bushfestival.com.au.

Competitor camping

A designated competitor camping area is available off Strzelecki Way (directly next to the cross country course). Maps will be provided in rider entry packs.

Vehicle requirements

Due to the number of competitors that the event attracts and the size of the camping location, competitors are only permitted a maximum of 2 vehicles in their camp site. Accepted competitors will receive their vehicle pass/es in their entry pack.

Sunday presentations

All Competitors are required to participate in the Presentation Ceremony on Sunday.

Competitors will be marshalled into number order at approximately 10.30am and led onto the arena for the Event Presentations at 11.00am. The presentation of all the event winners and other awards will be made at this time. Non-attendance without prior notification to the Event Coordinator may affect future applications to compete.

Important points to remember

  • Any changes to your entry form, once accepted, must be in writing and sent by either email or mail.
  • It is compulsory to pack your own riding horse.
  • Juniors must wear an Equestrian Australia Approved helmet at all times. Approved helmet numbers are outlined in the Rulebook.
  • It is recommended that seniors wear an Equestrian Australia Approved helmet at all times.
  • Dogs are permitted in the competitor campground, however must be on a lead and well behaved. Please consider those around you.
  • Winnings will be paid by direct deposit into your bank account, no cheques will be issued.
  • All Competitors and Festival visitors must wear their wristbands at all times.
  • All Competitors must wear their bibs whilst competing and also during the walk through of courses.
  • Although not a prerequisite of the Festival’s public liability insurance, the Committee recommends you protect yourself with personal accident insurance.
  • Any person intending on entering the Man From Snowy River Challenge must read the ‘Conditions of Entry’ in the Challenge Rule Book prior to submitting an entry form.
